Hi Soup Fans!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Growing up I was blessed with a mother that always cooked healthy food for us. One of my favorite meals to this day, is my moms lentil soup with toast. We are recreating that lentil soup for you to enjoy this week. This one bowl meal is full of fresh vegetables including spinach which really adds to the flavor. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Sometimes in food as in life simple is better. This is really the idea behind everything we offer, but especially with this hearty vegetable soup. Organic veggies, our homemade stock, garlic and fresh herbs make this really special and satisfying.

This Week’s Organic Soups

Garden Vegetable (Organic, Vegan, Gluten Free) This comforting soup is made up of fresh organic vegetables (Potatoes, Carrots, Onions, Cabbage, Celery etc.) our signature stock, fresh herbs and garlic.

Yummy Lentil (Organic, Vegan, Gluten Free)

Soaking our organic lentils beans overnight, starts the germination process and releases enzymes that help break down the sugars in the beans making them easier to digest. We add carrots,celery,onion, garlic and spinach to enhance the flavor of this hearty treat.

NEW TO SOUP CLUB? Here’s how it works:

Shanti Kitchen delivers delicious organic soups to you We make two fresh soups each week with as many local and organic ingredients as possible. Soups come in 32 oz. jars that will be fresh for 6 days or frozen for 2 months. We announce the Soups of the Week on our site every Monday. You choose which soups you would like and how many, simply email us your order and delivery location (delivery available throughout San Diego County).

We also have pick-up sites throughout San Diego County (see below) or search our map for location nearest you. If you are out of our delivery area email us your location and we will call you to make arrangements.

32oz Reusable jars of soup are $10.00 each. After the first order you will be able to recycle your jars with us and receive your next soup for $9.00. We can collect your payments (cash or check made out to Shanti’s Kitchen) at the time of delivery.

Shanti’s Kitchen & Garden of Eden Organics CSA have coordinated a joint drop-off schedule. If you do not have a CSA yet check out Garden of Eden Organics. Their produce and fruit is amazing. And you will also be supporting local organic farms.
